What is Recovery Coaching?
Recovery Coaching is a professional and supportive service that helps individuals to achieve and maintain their recovery.
Recovery Coaching is founded on the belief that individuals in recovery have unique needs, experiences, and challenges that require a personalised approach. Our Recovery Coaches are fully trained and supported individuals who provide one-on-one support, encouragement, and guidance to individuals in recovery, helping them to overcome the obstacles that may arise on their journey.
The role of a Recovery Coach involves providing emotional support, accountability, and motivation to those who are working in or on their recovery. Coaches work with individuals to identify their strengths and challenges, set achievable goals, and develop strategies to navigate the challenges of recovery and life in general.
Our Recovery Coaches also provide practical support, such as helping individuals to access resources and making referrals for various services.
Recovery Coaching is not mentoring, therapy or counselling, but rather a collaborative relationship between the coach and the individual. The coach provides a safe and supportive space for the individual to explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, and develop the skills and knowledge needed for the next stage of their journey.
